Scott P. Sealy, Jr., Vice President and Business Development of Sealy & Company, provides corporate management and business development for the firm. He is the driving force in the development of the company’s relationships, work ethic and culture.

Scott is directly responsible for achieving the company’s capital raising goals and identifying its investment opportunities. He develops and maintains relationships with investors and strategic partners. He works with Sealy’s regional offices and partnership ventures to identify business targets and execute those business strategies in a manner that maximizes the company’s profitability.

In 2001, Scott joined Sealy and Company. During his tenure, he expanded the company’s office platform by establishing office presence in the Nashville, San Antonio and Atlanta markets, as well as further expanding operations of the Dallas office. Scott developed and implemented a strategic leasing platform that reduces the portfolio’s overall risk and holds leasing agents accountable. The platform enabled Sealy to expand from 8 markets in 2001 into its current footprint of 15 markets. Since 1996, he completed 654 lease transactions for a total lease volume of $158 million. Scott formed a cohesive relationship between leasing, asset management, property management, and has been an integral part in selecting and managing third party listing agents across all regions.

Prior to Sealy, he served as a leasing agent for Fadior Company. From 1997 to 2001, he was the Director of Leasing for First Industrial Realty Trust, Inc., covering properties in Austin and Dallas. In 1995, Scott obtained his bachelor’s degree in economics with an emphasis in finance from Southern Methodist University. He is a member of Sealy’s investment committee, the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors, the SMU Mustang Club Board of Directors and volunteers for the Visiting Nurse Association for Meals on Wheels.
