Thomas D. Senkbeil joined Sealy & Company as Managing Director in 2010. Tom is based in the Company’s Atlanta, Georgia office where he directs acquisition, development and disposition activities for the Mid Atlantic and Southeast regions. His role also includes working with the Chairman of the Board in procuring equity capital for the Company’s investment opportunities.
Prior to joining Sealy, Tom formed Senkbeil and Associates to offer consulting and investment advisory services to institutional and private investors and owners of all types of commercial real estate as well as to continue investments with associates in the multifamily field. During 2009 Tom consulted with numerous pension fund and hedge fund clients concerning both direct investment and ownership of public REIT shares, primarily on multi-family investments.
Tom received his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Auburn University and his Masters of Business Administration from The Kenan Flager Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He served as chairman of NAIOP in 1996. He is currently a member of ULI Multifamily Council and NMHC Board of Directors. He has served in several executive positions including Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer for Post Properties, Chief Operating Officer and President for Carter & Associates and Chief Investment Officer for Duke Weeks Realty Corporation. He is also active in business and civic organizations and recently retired from the board of trustees for the Galloway School in Atlanta after nine years. |
