the senior regional director for Sealy & Company, Inc.’s Southeast region.
Poulin, who oversees acquisitions, dispositions, development, build-to-suits,
asset management and lease negotiations for Sealy assets in Georgia, Florida and
Louisiana, has 25 years experience in industrial and commercial property
construction, leasing, acquisitions, development, dispositions and portfolio
management. He is uniquely skilled in all aspects of business and industrial
park design and development to include wetlands mitigation, permitting,
government relations, lot sales, build-to-suits, speculative construction,
concurrency and installation of infrastructure. As developer, Dan delivered 14
class A institutional grade, industrial development projects and business parks
totaling 1,030,706 square feet of buildings and 410 acres of land across
Louisiana and Florida. A senior regional director for Sealy’s operating company
and a partner in many of its projects, Poulin first joined Sealy in 1995 serving
as the division manager for the Sealy Companies’ South Louisiana portfolio and
the next 4 years as a Regional Director at First Industrial Realty Trust, Inc.
when that Company acquired the Sealy Companies' industrial real estate
portfolio, along with its operations and management in a 1997 UPREIT
transaction. With Dan as a partner, the Sealy’s reacquired those Louisiana
assets in the summer of 2001. Prior to joining Sealy, Poulin was leasing
manager for Heitman Financial's Southern Louisiana Industrial Properties
following four years as an office building specialist with Coldwell Banker
Commercial Group, now CB Richard Ellis. Poulin is a licensed real estate broker,
holds the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation, is an
Active Industrial Member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR),
is a member of the New Orleans Metropolitan Association of Realtors®, serves as
a program chairman for the Industrial and Office Parks Council (IOPC) of the
Urban Land Institute (ULI) and is chairman emeritus of the LSU Health Sciences
Center Foundation. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the the
University of New Hampshire’s Whittemore School of Business and Economics, where
