Email: scotts@sealynet.com Scott P. Sealy, Chairman of the Board for Sealy and Company, Inc. provides strategic planning and business development for the company. He joined the firm in 1968 and began working in the management and leasing areas, where he specialized in industrial and investment properties. He currently sells and leases commercial and investment properties in addition to handling the company's portfolio and financial management. Scott has been the architect of the company's recent growth, and he has pioneered the firm's expansion in the areas of both management and marketing services. He has recently developed the overall structure of Sealy and Company, Inc., working to create the most comprehensive company possible. This full service structuring that Sealy has directed includes a renewed emphasis on customer service relations and a personalized brokerage software system. Scott has networked all company divisions and operations, streamlining the avenues of communication at the company and expanding the services available to clients. On the marketing side, he has spearheaded the creation of state of the market publications and detailed investment property analysis. Scott has directed the analysis, coordination, sale and acquisition of multiple investment properties totaling over $200 million. These transactions mark several firsts for the company, including the successful negotiation of a 200,000 square-foot mall and entry into the Baton Rouge area. Scott's brokerage activities include the metropolitan markets of New Orleans, Atlanta, Shreveport, San Antonio, Memphis, Houston and Dallas. In addition to the real estate business, he is also active in the telecommunications and oil and gas industries. Scott is a recognized leader of economic development in Shreveport. He has served as Vice President for Economic Development with the Shreveport Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Greater Shreveport Economic Development Foundation, Western District Representative of the Northwest Louisiana Development Center and President of the Downtown Shreveport Development Corporation. In 1984, Scott was named a Rising Young Business Leader. Scott holds the real estate designation of SIOR
(Society of Industrial and Office Realtors), and served as president
of SIOR's Louisiana chapter in 1994. He keeps himself informed of the changing
real estate climate by attending various seminars and courses relevant to
the business. He is a Realtor member of the Shreveport-Bossier Board of
Realtors, Louisiana REALTORS®
Association, the National Association
of REALTORS® and the National Association of Industrial and Office
Parks, and a trustee of LARPAC. Additionally, he holds Real Estate licenses
in Georgia and Texas.
